Our Focus

We encourage nib employees to give back to the communities where they live and work through our corporate volunteering program and employee-led fundraising events supporting our foundation and community partners

Delivering food with a purpose

We help our long-time partner, OzHarvest, rescue quality leftover food from supermarkets, clubs and restaurants to provide meals for those who need it most. Every fortnight our employees volunteer in the food rescue van in Newcastle, while our Sydney teams support the Cooking for a Cause program which turns unwanted food into meals for those in need.

Cooking with compassion

nib employees regularly cook up a storm for families of seriously ill children staying at Ronald McDonald Houses in Auckland and Newcastle where we are proud to sponsor rooms, and also in Melbourne and Sydney. With over 600 families staying per year at the Newcastle home and around 3,500 in Auckland, our employees love the chance to create a meal for these families.

No Money, No Time Hackathon

nib’s Marketing & Products team spent a day with our partner, The University of Newcastle (UoN), to brainstorm ways to drive traffic and engagement to their newly launched No Money, No Time nutritional website. It was a hugely successful day with both parties collaborating and learning about the importance of SEO, content marketing and of course, healthy eating!

We feel very honoured to have been chosen to utilise your staff's expertise though the nibGIVE program. It was very inspiring to see how extremely knowledgeable, passionate, vibrant and creative they all were. The insights we have gained from the day are priceless and we have no doubt that this will contribute towards the success of NMNT and HEQ.

City2Surf

A group of dedicated employees participated in the City2Surf to raise money for Tuberous Sclerosis Australia. With nib foundation matching dollar for dollar, Team nib raised over $6,000. As the only charitable organisation supporting people with Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC) in Australia, the funds will go towards activities and resources to support families living with TSC.

Red Cross Bushfire Appeal

The devastating bushfires across Australia saw lives lost and many homes and wildlife destroyed. To help, our employees put on their best Aussie Christmas outfits and donated what they could for the Australian Red Cross. Thanks to the generosity of our employees, they managed to raise over $10,000 with nib foundation matching all donations dollar for dollar.
